Chocolate Chai Syrup with Tipu’s Chai

 

 

Of course we love our chai with everything and anything

– but let’s face it who doesn’t love ice cream with chocolate sauce on it. We decided to add a little of our Tipu’s Chai Now Unsweetened Chai Tea® (just tea and spices) to the chocolate sauce recipe to add a little spice.

After topping our favorite ice cream,Three Twins “Dad’s Cardamom” with the syrup, we created a perfect chai-licious marriage of flavors.


Serves:

1 cup

Prep time:

5 minutes

Cook Time:

5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa

  • 1 tablespoon Tipu’s Chai Now Unsweetened Chai Tea®

  • 1 2/3 cups white sugar

  • 1 1/4 cups water

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 


 Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine Tipu’s Chai now Unsweetened Chai Tea, cocoa, sugar and water.
  2. Stir until all ingredients are mixed.
  3. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  5. Let cool & then decant into your favorite container
